Is There Any Day Pass Using Which You Can Travel In BMTC Bus & Metro Train Too ????The Answer Is -- Yes You Can,  Says BMTC & BMRCL !!

Few days back, News To Fuse had signed in a petition at www.change.org which was an appeal to BMTC (Bangalore Municipal Transport Corporation) to issue the MBT day pass using which a commuter can travel in BMTC busess and Metro trains too.
Because it is mentioned by BMTC on its Official Website, that the MBT pass is available at Rs. 70 (For All BMTC Non-AC Buses & Metro Train) & Rs. 110 (For All BMTC AC Buses & Metro Trains).
The same has been mentioned by BMRCL (Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited) on its Official Website.
It was never known to the citizens of Bangalore that they have a facility of using a single pass for traveling in BMTC Bus as well as Metro Services.
It is really strange that neither the BMTC executives nor the BMRCL executives know about this service.
Then why this service is just put up across on official websites of both the Transport Service ??
When their executives were asked about whether a passenger can travel in BMTC bus as well as Metro Train using a single daily bus pass, they told that they don't have information on this. 
When asked about this service of daily bus pass mentioned on the websites of BMTC & BMRCL, the answer they gave sounds irresponsible, it must be a misprint, let us check with our team, they told.

Got Upper Birth? Don't Worry, Will Get Ladder To Climb

The Railways had conducted an exercise a few months ago where they took feedback from a large number of passengers and one woe which outnumbered any other was the terrible ladder attached to climb up to the upper berth, which is nothing but two or three uncomfortable metal rods, and involves having to hurl yourself up, while grabbing in air to catch hold of something to haul yourself up. You cannot miss it even if you don’t travel by train all that often. People often complain about getting the upper berth and are continuously on the lookout for a youngster who would exchange the lower berth with them.

The Proposed Ladder Prototype

You may have missed the berth but not the woes around it, and it seems that this time, the railways has heard the woes too.

The Linke Hofman Busch (LHB) coaches are usually manufactured by engineers at the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, and Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. Currently, you will find these engineers poring over designs and prototypes of numerous possible “ladders” to choose the one that will, hopefully, permanently ease the problem of climbing up to, or coming down from, the upper berth.

The railways is also collecting feedback on the feel of the new steps in some of the the First AC Coaches that have been fitted with the prototype.​
