Meet Mr. Nikesh Arora. He is the new President of SoftBank Corporation and he received $135 million (around Rs. 850 Crore) as his salary from Sep’14 to Mar’15. This comes out to be around Rs. 120 Crore monthly, that is Rs. 4 Crore Per Day.
Earlier, he was the Investment Head of the company and now he has been appointed as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Born to an Indian Air Force officer, Arora graduated from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University(now Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi), India with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1989. He holds a degree from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. He also holds the CFAdesignation.

Before joining Softbank, Nikesh worked with Google as Chief Busines Officer and made USD 46.7 Million in 2012 which made him the highest paid Google employee. With such a high salary in the past, it is but natural that Softbank had to pay higher to entice him and join them.
He has been called as “Rising Star” by Mr. Masayoshi Son and the Japanese conglomerate see him as a capable heir to the family in terms of running the company successfully. This was reported in one Japanese daily which also stated that this kind of salary is unusuaaly high for Japan and there would very few Japanese employees who would be earning so heavily.

Now, you must be wondering – What this guy does for them.

So Here It Is:

He is helping Softbank investing into promising startups in India and has already made some 100 Mn + investments in a number of companies such as Snapdeal, Ola Cabs and Oyo rooms.
