Here Is Why Pakistan Threatens To Boycott India at ICC Events

Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board  Shahryar Khan has given an ultimatum to Indian Cricket Board BCCI after not getting any confirmation about the concerned series scheduled to happen in the UAE in December. The Chairman Mr. Khan said if India scraps the series then they will also boycott playing India in any ICC and Asian Cricket Council tournaments.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on many occasions refused to play the scheduled bilateral series against an Pakistan in December.  Disappointed Khan  said the BCCI did not seek any permission from the concerned Indian ministry for the upcoming series.
We have the option of boycotting all matches against them in the ICC and ACC events as well,” Khan quoted. “Nothing is final or decided as yet but if the Indian Board officially backs out of the series, then we have the option of boycotting all matches against India.
Khan said BCCI has to make it clear about their position about the series as the December is approaching and have to reply PCB letter regarding the proposed series.   “I sent the letter on 28 August and I am still waiting for a reply. They (the BCCI) should tell us whether they want to play the series or not. Because if they say they don’t have government clearance and refuse to play the series, then we reserve the right to act against the Indian Board for not honoring an agreement at every level,” Khan said.

The PCB  chief said that since the BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has been a BJP MP that is why he is following the saffron party lead India government’s policy towards Pakistan. Indian government  since the recent infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan and ceasefire violation snapped all kinds of relations with Pakistan. In recent times, many former Pakistan cricketers,  including Wasim Akram advocated for this series. But, veteran cricketers like Shahid Afridi urged PCB not to beg for the series against India in December.
Khan made it clear that if the BCCI backed out of the MoU signed for the proposed series, the Pakistan would have to consider several options and one of them could be the refusal to play against Indian in ICC and ACC tournaments or at any level.
“I am not saying we have decided to do this or we will do it, but certainly if we don’t get to host our home series in December, then we have to consider appropriate action as well,” he said. India and Pakistan have not played against each other since 2007, the last time the two countries played a proper bilateral Test series. Pakistan toured India in late 2012 for a short one-day series, and apart from that tour, the two countries have only played against each other in ICC or ACC events.

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur  in recent past grabbed the opportunity when two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was captured by Indian Boarder Security Personnel in August. He said “cricket and terror can’t go hand in hand” as "Internal security of the country can't be compromised."
Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also backed Thakur statement. The PCB chief also said that since the secretary of the BCCI, Anurag Thakur was a politician, that was why he was giving negative statements on Indo-Pak relations.
Pakistan toured India in late 2012 for a short one-day series, and apart from that tour, the two countries have only played against each other in ICC or ACC events.
India last played Pakistan in the 2015 ICC World Cup in Adelaide and the last bilateral series between these two countries happened in 2012 when Pakistan toured India for a short limited for the tournament. Since 2008, 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack  India and Pakistan relation has been worst.
